Rules and sanctions
How we play together on GoalBloc, what happens when someone breaks the rules, and how to appeal.
Playing together
Four rules, the same as in the terms of use. Breaking them leads to a sanction.
- Respect other players: no insults, harassment, discrimination, threats or shocking content.
- No cheating: no mod, client or software that gives an advantage, no deliberate bug abuse.
- No spam, no advertising for another server, no selling accounts or items.
- Do not pretend to be staff or another player.
What the staff can do
The staff warns, mutes, kicks or bans, for a while or for good, depending on how serious it is.
| Sanction | What it does | Who can give it |
|---|---|---|
| Warning | A message from the staff, kept in your record. | Helper and above |
| Mute | You can no longer write in the chat, for a while or for good. | Helper (up to 1 h), Mod (up to 24 h), Admin |
| Kick | You are disconnected from the server, and can come back. | Mod and above |
| Ban | You can no longer join, for a while or for good. | Mod (up to 7 days), Admin |
The anticheat
An anticheat watches the matches. When it detects likely cheating, it bans for 1 h, then 24 h, then 7 days, until a moderator decides: cheating confirmed, and the ban becomes permanent; or a false positive, and the ban is lifted.
Desertion in ranked
A ranked match left halfway is spoilt for the other players: leaving costs more than losing.
You are a deserter if you spend 60 seconds of play off the pitch, if you use /fb leave, or if you are not on the pitch when your team loses because its players left. A player sent back to the lobby by the staff never is.
- The match counts as a loss, without XP, and costs 16 rating points. Your teammates who stayed lose only half of their points.
- First time: a warning. Then a wait of 1 to 15 minutes in the queue before each match, for a few games.
- After that, every casual and ranked queue is blocked for 24 h, then 3 days, 7 days and 14 days.
- Matches played to the end bring you back down: five clean games lower you one step.
A kick or a ban counts as a disconnection; a real connection loss of more than 60 seconds counts too.
Something wrong?
- Report a player with
/signaler <player> <message>, or open a ticket with/ticket(a player, a bug, a question). - Appeal a sanction with
/ticketin game or at contact@goalbloc.com. - A sanction does not entitle you to a refund of a purchase already delivered.
